In 1996 a collaboration was created between Gum Young General and U.S based Hollister-Whitney Elevator Corp. This aided in establishing the “Rope Gripper™” in the Korean market and become the leader of elevator safety.

Along with an excellent reputation for quality and experience, the following safety certificates were acquired: In 2003 CSA-Canada, 2004 CE-Europe, 2005 TX-China, 2007 EK-Korea

Gum Young General is making an all-out effort to be recognized as an elevator manufacturer who can represent Korea through technological development and improving quality. We have launched the “GYG ELEVATOR” brand since 2007 and we are constantly exploring the global market to become well known worldwide.
